These are the three currently known methods to claim a town for the player faction. Do note that it was never intended for the player to gain ownership of towns, so all these are cheats and may cause unforeseen problems. Also, this is a "good" way to avoid raids, as the raiders get confused where your outpost is if you build another one besides the town.
Fe. 'Take Over the World' allows you to fight for the ownership of a town.
Option 2: Using the ingame editor:[]
Go to town you want to claim.
Open ingame editor with "shift + F12".
Select Town Placement and search for the name of the town you are in.
Click on the name of the town you are in and then the town marker statue should vanish.
Find "Your outpost" in the town placement menu and place it where the old town marker was.
Save and reload the save so that changes are applied.
Do note, that if the town marker change is not saved to a mod, it is very likely next time you import the town ownership goes back to original owner. Best used in unison with Option 3.
Find the town you wish to own (in "Towns") and open its file.
Change the faction ownership to the player faction (Nameless). Don't forget to remove that previous owner.
Save the mod and load it next time you launch the game.
There is talk on Changing Town Ownership that doing this without removing the old town marker will result to two markers in the town, which may cause more issues. So you should do this in unison of Option 2.
Command. You can use the /claim command to make a claim. Simply type /claim <size of claim> to create a claim. The size you input will be the number of blocks from you to the new border of the claim.
To claim a chunk for your town, type /t claim. It must be next to an existing claim. This will deduct $25 from your town bank. To deposit money in your town bank, type /t deposit <amount>.
You can use the command /mystats to see how much land you can claim. Server admins have their claiming contingents set to maximum by default. Press T in-game to open the text window. The command /land will list the possible subcommands.
The Claim plugin can be installed from any Jenkins installation connected to the Internet using the Plugin Manager screen. You can then access the Manage Jenkins > Configure System > Claim section to configure global settings and default options for the plugin.
New players are awarded 1 land claim keystone block in their starting inventory if a server is running Survival PvP. Airdrop containers have a small chance of containing keystone blocks.

You can teleport almost anywhere in Minecraft using the "/tp" command. You'll need to enable cheats in your Minecraft world before you can teleport. Once active, you can teleport to other players, dimensions, or specific coordinates.
Using a compass will direct you back to your initial spawn point. If your house is close to the initial spawn point, this will help you track down the house from there. Also, if you magnetize a compass to some lodestone, it will always point to that lodestone.
