And they're cheaper than the rest!
Just after the New Year, Chipotle did everyone with healthy eating resolutions a solid: They created a line-up of Whole30, paleo, and keto bowls to take the guesswork out of following each specific diet. Now, they're extending that ease to vegetarians and vegans. The newest additions to Chipotle's Lifestyle Bowls line-up cater to those ditching meat and/or cheese.
The Vegan Bowl is made with Sofritas, Chipotle's plant-based vegan protein option. On menus since 2014, Sofritas is made by shredding organic soybeans and covering them in spices like poblano pepper, cumin, and chipotle chile. The bowl also comes with brown rice, black beans, tomato salsa, chili-corn salsa, and lettuce. It has 595 calories and is listed at $8.95 in New York (prices may vary by location).
The Vegetarian Bowl is slightly more caloric at 805 calories per bowl, which makes sense since it adds sour cream and guac. The rest of the bowl includes pinto beans, brown rice, fajita veggies, tomato salsa, and chili-corn salsa. This one is also listed as $8.95 in NYC.
As with the other Lifestyle Bowls, these combos could be made before, and you can customize them if you'd like when ordering in stores. By creating the separate menu, though, ordering online or through Chipotle's mobile app is a step easier. Find them online today!
