MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. (June 30, 2024) – Headlined by two Olympic all-around gold medalists, USA Gymnastics named the 2024 U.S. Women’s Olympic Team Presented by Xfinity Sunday evening following two days of women’s competition at the U.S. Olympic Team Trials – Gymnastics.
Set to be representing the U.S. in Paris are 37-time Olympic and World medalist Simone Biles, reigning Olympic all-around champion Suni Lee, Olympic floor exercise gold medalist Jade Carey, Olympic team silver medalist Jordan Chiles, and two-time 2023 Junior World silver medalist and 2024 Winter Cup balance beam champion Hezly Rivera, who at 16 years and 26 days old is currently the youngest member of all sports in the Team USA delegation headed to the 2024 Olympic Games.
Four-time World medalist Leanne Wong and 2023 World team champion Joscelyn Roberson were named as traveling replacement athletes.
In Minneapolis, Biles posted the highest score in two days of all-around competition to earn an automatic berth on the team. She earned a combined 117.225, leading the way on floor with a 29.575. She also was No. 2 on uneven bars with a 28.625, was fourth on beam with a 27.550, and had the best combined single vault score of the competition with a 31.475. Lee was the second highest all-around scorer with a 111.675, claiming the top spot on uneven bars with a 29.275. Her routine on Sunday scored 14.875 and she stuck the landing to earn roars from her hometown crowd.
Chiles ranked third in the all-around with a 111.425 while also notching third place finishes on bars (28.550) and floor (28.200). Rivera and Roberson tied for the highest overall beam score with 27.975, while Carey topped the two-vault standings with a 28.774 (14.287, 14.487).
