Sugar is an integral ingredient inthe Goetze’s secret family recipe and responsible forshaping the caramel’s flavor and color. For this reason,Goetze’s Candy Company does not make sugar-free caramel products.
Do you make gluten-free Caramel Creams® and Cow Tales®?
Wheat flour is the main ingredient in Goetze’s caramels and gluten is naturally found in wheat. Wheat gives Goetze’s caramels their unique, chewy texture. At this time,Goetze’s Candy Company does not make gluten-free caramels.

How do you pronounce “Goetze’s?”
Goetze is the German surname of the family that has been making confections in Baltimore, Maryland for over 125 years. “Goetze” is pronounced as “gets” and “Goetze’s” is pronounced as “gets-is.”
Why is there a white powder on the outside of the caramel?
The faint, white powder found on the outside of Goetze’s caramel candy is a slightly-sweet coating that prevents the caramel from sticking to the wrapper and it does not influence the flavor of the candy.
Why do you use high-fructose corn syrup?
High fructose corn syrup (HFCS) is corn sugar that has become one of the most commonly added sweeteners in the food industry.
