Cedar County man dies after crash involving a truck and a UTV (2024)

CEDAR COUNTY, Mo. (KY3) - A man from Stockton has died after a crash involving a pickup truck and a UTV Saturday evening.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, around 5:40 p.m., a GMC Sierra and a John Deere Gator were driving in opposite directions on County Road 1801, which is a narrow gravel road, around Stockton Lake.

The crash happened when both drivers tried to avoid hitting each other and ended up crashing head-on.

The driver of the Gator, 50-year-old Joey Gray, was taken to a hospital in Bolivar, where he later died.

This marks MHSP Troop D’s 26th fatal crash in 2024.
